Monday Night Football @ The Irish Rogue

Hey Everyone! It's Monday! You know what that means...Monday Night Football! This week, its the San Francisco 49ers vs the Arizona Cardinals. Yes....I know! Don't say it! I get it! I've got to bring out my "A" game to come up with something to say about this one. If the teams don't bring you out, I know you'll be out to hang out with the MNF crew! First of all, I will be wearing my Frank Gore Jersey tonight. Who cares if I may be the only one representing the Bay Area. If you don't know, its been known to be pronounced as "yay air-reee-uh"!!! I digress, sorry!

For those who have been frequent MNF patrons, did you know you that Hercules was among us? Hercules makes our first agenda item for tonight!

Tonight's Agenda
+ I am blowing Hercules' cover. When you show up tonight, witness Hercules lift Genevieve (aka "Genny from the block") up in the air while she is sitting in her bar stool. Don't let the recent news about Hercules hurting his back distract you. It's a front! We saw him shoot around with us last week during the Mamba game!
+ We are bringing back the $3 dollar plate of wings! Dave Griffin still believes the wings at Irish Rogue are the best! It's noted on his iPhone!
+ I can't have an agenda item without a knock on Smitty. Smitty will not show up! I would be a rich man if he paid me for all the times he never shows up.
+ John Dickman returns from his Tax Break. What's that? You don't know who he is? If you came out tonight, you'll find out.
+ Although it's never encouraged, listen to people talk about work! I've come to realize that talking about work is a way to "transition" to talking about something else. The problem is some people never transition.
+ Once again....If your playing Dodgeball in the winter with us, here is your chance to meet your fellow teammates!
+ I watched "Wall-E" on the plane yesterday as I flew back to NYC from CA. Why was this movie a big deal? Dan "No Limit" Lo was looking forward to this movie. He saw it the day it opened! I wonder if he cried. I'm sorry Dan, but I think you went 'beyond the limit' on this one.
+ Earlier in the season, Steve Duncan told us stories about how he made the show "Man vs Wild". Have you ever heard him tell you the story after he broke his nose? There is nothing more fascinating than hiking up Everest with a broken nose.
+ Don't let Nate "the nature boy" Stumpf convince you otherwise. He too lives the life of a consultant. Ask him about his recent trips!
+ How many of you were throwing your underwear through the streets of New York last week? I never realized Obama's win was that moving. I thought that kind of behavior was only found at Hogs and Heifers in the meat packing district. Guess not?!?!
+ Guests are ALWAYS welcome! If you bring someone to keep you company, introduce them to the crew. We don't bite! Well...sometimes! Pass this along!
+ Say hello to Shane (the bartender) and the waitresses Tina and Neeve.
+ As always, hang out and meet new people!

Eat, Drink, and Be Larry...

Since this is the very first post! I think it would be wise to describe a concept and some terms that you may read about on here....

I enjoy being around people and meeting new ones. Characters are great! Ok.. I'm a people person! It's not new news. I think that's why I love being a consultant. I've been consulting for 12+ years and who knows when I'll stop. Anyway if you hang around me, you'll notice I tend to coordinate things. Happy Hour, Basketball, Dodgeball, and random get togethers. I do like to promote them too! Keep watching and you'll know what I mean. One thing I make a point of about my so called events is that people do what they want to do. People can come and go as they please. There is no pressure and your typically going to be in a situation where you can move around. Meaning, you won't be stuck at a table at a restaurant. We'll be at the bar or bar tables where you can easily move around. So you may find me asking you... "are you flying tonight?" This is what I mean...

The concept of 'flying':
I take the idea of a wing man and twist it up and spit it back out. We all are a wing man or wing girl for the ladies. We all fly in this virtual sky.
The sky is basically the situation your in and the people around you. It doesn't matter when what or where. Who cares... we are talking concept. ;o) So just like in reality, there are all kinds of planes in the sky. Boeing 777s and prop jets are two planes that I typically name drop every now and then. It's mainly because they are two extremes. I've been known to drop the label circus planes too! Hahahaa! If you don't know your airplanes, a 777 is like an 18 wheel semi-truck and prop jet's are like mini coopers. Each of us can be described as a plane. If you haven't noticed, I like to describe myself as a Boeing Triple 7. There is nothing malicious behind your plane description so don't be offended. (If you do, you'll get over it.) It's simply my way of looking at how people interact in social situations. Whatever the situation, everyone will have a great time if you have the right combination of 'planes' in the sky!! *Light Bulb* That's probably why I like to coordinate things. In 95% of the situations, everyone has a great time!! I love that! And it's all because of YOU!! Thank you!! So if you ever see one of my invitations, don't be afraid to come out. If you can make it great, if not there will always be a next time! You'll have a blast and it's not because of me. It's because of you and the people who are there!
